Why My Coffee Tastes too Sweet

Now my mornings taste of resentment

The coffee spilling around

Its bitterness seeping into the air I breathe

My coffee breath smells like arsenic

Fireworks detonating in my brain

I question the divination of tea leaves

I need no psychic to remind me of misfortunes.

Now my coffee’s sweet

All its bitterness

Sucked into my soul.

I do not want you

Breathing next to me

I have breathed poison all my life

The pure air will kill me.
