I can feel the growing child in my throat

Deformed and desiccated

Kicking my wind pipes and robbing my breath

Made from the sins of my mothers empty words

It grows and grows

its limbs sharp and thorny

It has life that my uterus pregnant with jealousy

cuts open the walls and floods my insides.

There's life growing inside my throat

I want to impale it before it impales me

But we are one and tangled

A parasitic creature,

breathing my share of oxygen.

I feel strange bodies coil inside me, nest and lay its eggs

I never want to give life, but it takes life away from me.
