I want to give up on everything-

My mothers sandals

My fathers rage.

I hold onto things as if they’re treasure

Bequeathed from my ancestors-

Objects I’d decorate my room

And Fill my house with.

I don’t want to breathe, it’s a chore.

I want to give away everything I’ve got-

My eyes, hair and body

Soul, love and anguish

I do not want anything.

Take my breathing lungs away

Put it in a child that wants to live

Take my eyes

And give it to a baby that wants to see.

Mama, I’m tired

I don’t want to be loved, only understood

I have become remnants of a human being

And I feel my skin shred like that of a snake

my tears lash like the ocean in a forgotten island

Mama, I’m tired.

I dream of your lap

The comfort on your shoulders

But its a fairy tale from a book-

I dream of non existent things.

Mama I’m so tired

You gave me this life, so Take it away.

You are my God and divine being

You created me .

But I’m tired,

I don’t want it anymore.
